National Social Science Documentation Centre (NASSDOC), is a division of ICSSR. It provides information support service to researchers in social sciences and to those working in academic institutions, autonomous research organisations, policy making, planning and research units of the government departments. In order to meet the challenges posed by technology driven world, it exemplifies the use of web based digital environment for creating, applying and utilizing the information with its automated library collection, WEBOPAC, online databases/e-resources etc.
Facilities available at NASSDOC include Documentation, Library (including its Membership), and Reference Service; Microfilm & Microfiche Services; Collection of Unpublished Doctoral Dissertations and Research Project Reports, Current and Old Volumes of Social Science Journals of Indian and Foreign Origin; Bibliography on Demand/ Literature Search Service; Current Awareness Service; Document Delivery Service. Besides this, NASSDOC provides the National Knowledge Network internet facility to access e-resources in social sciences with the state of art “Digital Resources Learning Centre” (DRLC); ICSSR Publications Sales and Distribution.
