Summary, etc Huge percentage of the respondents stated that there is an adverse impact on the society due to large number of HIV/AIDs infected persons. This shows that sample respondents are facing severe social impact. They reported that untouchability is increasing due to spread of HIV/AIDS. Further, there would be social inequalities due to high prevalence of HIV/AIDS. In the society, a separate social class will be emerged with the HIV/AIDS infected persons. It is inferred from the study that majority of the respondents stated that they are insulted by others in the society due to his illness. It is clear from the study that nearly 83 per cent of the respondents reported that they are treated as untouchables by the society. This shows the extent of prevailing of discrimination against HIV/AIDS infected persons.
