520 _aThe proposed study aims to address the challenges facing agricultural development in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in the context of sustainable agriculture practices such as Micro Irrigation System (MIS). The study seeks to analyze the socio-economic profile of the sample respondents, the status of MIS adoption among farmers, and their perception of the new technology and constraints thereof. The study also aims to identify the factors influencing food security in the study area and the impact of sustainable agriculture practices on food security. Additionally, the study intends to evaluate the impact of MIS on production, costs and returns, labor, and profitability differences in the study area. Finally, the study aims to identify promising strategies that should be promoted to meet the Millennium Development Goals and which can result in recommendations for sustainable agricultural development.
